There are a few things you need to allow for.
If you are purchasing a special gift for someone you that you need by a certain date, you
will need to allow time in advance. Best to book as soon as possible.
I will need time and my bookings fill fast.
I do also pause my commissions from time to time, but I can take details and put you on a wait list.
Colour pencil drawings are a longer process than other mediums, so time is why I have a waiting list sometimes.
To secure a place in my Calendar I take a deposit of $50.00.
This amount will be taken off the balance of the total cost of your drawing.
I will need suitable photos, multiple, as choosing the right photo is very important to get the detail in your finished picture.
The photo's you choose should also be something that makes you smile and that sums up the character of your pet for you and brings back happy memories.
The image will be enlarged and if the image is blurry, I will not be able to get a great idea of you animals features when zooming in.
No filters on when pictures are taken, your pet will not look like they do in real life.
Background – is not important at all, my main focus is on capturing your pet.
Natural light is best, but not essential, try not to have the flash on in you photo as it will make you animal look different to how they look to you in real life. This is why a few photos help as I can sometimes use them with the other photos to get a better likeness.
Once we pick a photo, we can then talk regarding size and allows me to schedule your drawing correctly.
About 2 weeks before I start your drawing, I will get in touch with you to confirm paper colour, and Layout.
During the progress, of my drawing, I will give you updates so we can be on the same page with the direction of the portrait. It is always exciting time for me as I watch the piece come to life.
